Generally, Gravely uses springs for belt tension and there is no adjustments. You should have a belt routing diagram on your deck and in the operators manual. Your spring could have stretched, broken or come off of the retainer. The bearing in the bracket may be shot. With the hours that you...
@StarTech is spot on. I find that the Rotary 13624 better than the Gravely blades. I run a Gravely Pro Turn 260 and have tried several brands and styles. Here's something that I've found that works really good. Get you a set of Rotary 6083. Also, get you a set of 1/4" blade spacers. The blade...
The dang thing was hiding from me.😅 I might have to visit my local Harbor Freight and get a couple.
I intend to add a shut off valve in the fuel line.
I was just out looking at the original carburetor. I didn't notice any obvious signs of a problem.
The overflow tube is clear.
The float needle...
I figured that had better move swiftly on the carburetor replacement. Over the past few mornings I have noticed raw gasoline coming from the tail pipe. My suspicion was confirmed. Gasoline was mixing with the crankcase oil. The air filter and air filter box were dry. I changed the oil and...
The aftermarket carburetor and OEM fuel pump have been installed.
It's not the easiest job.
I finished the installation and get ready to adjust the idle. I cranked and cranked and cranked. I know that I had everything right. I looked down and saw my vise-grips clamping off the fuel line. Big...
I did notice that the main jet in the kit is quite a bit smaller than the OEM jet. This thing has had problems since new. It's just gotten worse over time. I'm thinking that a new main jet and needle will cure the problem.
Here's what I ordered. I see that Stens carries a similar product for...

UPDATE
The rich mixture problem continues.
On cold soak starts, it will often flood. I have ordered a All Carb Chinese knockoff from Amazon. It's one of the more expensive offerings. I plan on installing it tomorrow. I also plan on rebuilding the OE Nikki carburetor for backup.
I will give...

Do you use a battery tender? If you don't keep the battery charged, it will have a shorter life. Did you read the entire thread? There is a battery inside of the hour meter.
There hasn't been an actual written budget since 1996. The government has been operating on omnibus bills and continuing resolutions since then. That fact is a real problem.
An 18% price increase in the cost of ammunition will take effect before January 1. This is a direct result of borrowing to much and printing too much paper money.
Turning off the TV news and not subscribing to print media has done me wonders. My anxiety level is near zero. The media and weather folks are fear merchants.
For the last couple of years, I have lost most of my fruit in March or early April. By the way, I live in the extreme northern area of...
