I hear you but how do you know? Have you used an IR or FLIR temp gun? Try a USB bore scoping tool. Pull a spark plug out and insert this into the bore. See what you can see. Or pull a head off when you can. Good luck with it. Take pictures if you tear into it and post them here.

Or use a cheap USB bore scope. Tug on the rope to lower the piston in the bore. Some you might not see the bore maybe. Still cheap to pull the head. Probably needs de-carboning of the cylinder/s anyway.

Might want to CLEAN the entire block before removing that carb. All that grit can and will fall into the engine. At least take an old paint brush and knock some of that dirt mummy wrap down. Cooling fins I would bet need some love.

Weld it back on. Clean the weld area. Grind away to clean fresh metal. Have it TIG or MIG'ed up. Grind away any welding slag and polish her up. Lots of tacks to control metal warpage. Good welder can fix this. This is a low RPM mower type engine. Reinstall it. Rotate it in some lube checking...

Look up your engine number then the carb. HA jets should be in there. Many places online have parts lists for free.

Put header wrap on the pipe and muffler. I would start there prior to adding any fans looking for more failures later. Lots of vibes and so on will kill those "Amazon" fans. One could even ceramic coat the muffler and pipe to keep heat inside the tubing.

Wally world Supertech SAE30W is off-highway rated. Meaning a ton of zddp and other goodies they pulled from modern oils. Why reinvent the wheel?

Senseless recommendation. Because that is a 10 grade oil. SAE 30w is a 30 grade oil. Much thicker without required viscosity index improvers. 10w-40 will shear down fast in a hot air cooled mower engine. Go figure. The ol' heavier oil trick that never works. Engines have specific bearing...

All larger mowers like this should have a shutoff valve. I put them on push mowers if there is room.

3 times is all you need on a proper working primer. Unless it's very cold out.
