Air conditioner leak detection dye should be a good use here. It's made to go in lubricant oil. I am reminded of the rolling in flour and look for the wet spot ,looking for leaks. The dye is less messy.

$15.00 a gallon for the T6 Shell. Add another $10.00 for the full synthetic. I change according to Briggs recommendations, but usually sooner.

So...is this B&S oil a re-labeled oil made by a major oil maker such as what I have been using? I've been using Shell Rotella diesel in my non-cat sportscar and also for my small engines. Is this oil formulated for Briggs and to their specs?

I'd be using them for other stuff than cleaning a carb. Most all my carbs have way too small passages in them,except maybe my Carter VS.

You should use stranded automotive wire,16 to 20 gauge. This kill switch wire doesn't carry much current. Solid copper wire has no use on anything that has any vibration to it. The shaking,even a little will fatigue the wire ,leading to breakage and circuit failure.

Drilling those pulley rivets isn't an easy task,as some of them are heated and bradded down in one operation. This hardens and tempers the rivet as well as makes sure it is tight because of the metal shrinkage when the rivet cools. It's also much quicker (and quieter) than bashing them down...
