Jacobsen 1200 super chief

I see no fuse at least blade type i know the condenser is toast
Points I don't know
Can the points be cleaned up if they were burnt?
Or just get new!
There is a voltage regular i haven't looked inside after this event!
Don't know which direction to go i have a new condenser coming!

Just to follow up there is no main fuse on these tractors
So im at condenser which I don't think would keep it from starting i was told to disconnect it and try to start and nothing!
I guess i will try new points also but they don't look any different than before this occurred but maybe I just can't see it??>>
Solenoid bench tested and clicks like it should

Just to clarify, this will crank over but it will not start and run due to no ignition fire?

Do you have a basic test light and a multimeter to check voltage and resistance?

No no crank
I think its starter
Power to solenoid coil starter
Im going to jump starter next
Working on it as I type

Test for power to your key switch and if there is power going out when you turn it to the cranking position. It is a matter of tracking down where the crank power signal is dropping out.

It could be a loose or corroded pin at a connector or the switch has failed. At this age, expect the unexpected.

I have power going out! And to key switch!
Will keep plugging away!
 
Pull the starter off and bench test it with a jump box.

This is not a rule but SHOULD BE. If you replace a starter replace the SOLENOID too.

I put jumper cables to starter it works!
Put new solenoid on nothing!
Power from key switch goes everywhere!
I have changed nothing since I got this running!
Then I arched the orinal solenoid
I bench tested the original solenoid and it was good !
Since there are no fuses would something in regulator cause this
Im stumped
