Broken bolt condundrum

I broke the bolt that holds the rear tire , I drilled it using an extractor kit but it wont budge,need info on what to do next

Keep drilling it out , get a " heilicoil" or thread insert kit , it will come with the drill , tap and insert you need to replace the bolt assembly,
 
Don't assume that it is held in by threads and rust, although it probably is because you have already tried an extractor. The shaft and the head may have been the issue, and now that they are gone, with a little PENETRATING oil and not WD40 which is mostly solvent, and a light punch or chisel it may spin out backwards. although I doubt if that will work in this case. You can weld a nut to it with a mig welder and it may spin right out, although drilling it may have ruined that chance. Do not break the extractor or you really will have issues. I would put some penetrating oil on it like PB blaster or Liquid Wrench, wait a few hours, hit it again then try an extractor but do it gently. If that fails then heat it and try again. Again - gently. If that fails then you are back to drilling one drill size at a time until you can get it out.

It doesn’t looked drilled out to me. Anyway, you will need to drill it out slowly and carefully and keep stepping up on drill bit sizes. If you have left handed drill bits that might do it when you get close to bolt being drilled out.
 
Drop a nut onto it. Tig weld inside the nut slowly filling in the hole then unscrew it. look on Youtube for examples
 
Look like someone ran in a partial threaded bolt screwing up the threads. Drilling out is about the only way to get it out. Being a grade 5 it will take some good sharp bits.
 
You have lots of extra steel to work with if you take advantage of such before you screw it up further.
I would think about just carefully drilling and taping to another size machine bolt. A size larger or if you have not screwed it up too much yet even smaller like 1/4-20. No need in trying to use helicoils, etc..
The threads on that bolt was about 5/16, so just drill to next larger size for a tap. It does not take much to hold the rear rim onto the axle on those type, it's just end play for holding the rim onto the axle. Compare what you are trying to do to the bolt on the other side. (size depth, etc)
If you mess around break off a easy out, you are into another issue..

Not like you are into a Baha 500 race.
 
Screw used was a 5/16-24 x 3/4 [710-05339A].

Next sizes are 3/8-16, 3/8-24, M9-1.00, and M9-1.25. The 3/8-16 and both M9s uses a 5/16 starter hole. The 3/8-24 use a Q bit which is slightly larger than 5/16.

If the OP breaks off a ease out he will need to switch to carbide bit to remove it. These bits don't sudden stops and will break.
