Donaldson air filter on Kawasaki FR730V

Per my title, I've retrofitted a Donaldson commercial air filter to my FR730V Kawasaki engine. The two obvious differences since the change are that the filter stays clean and my fuel consumption has reduced. Do I need to be concerned about potential overheating due to an apparently leaner burn since changing from the stock air filter system ? In that regard there are no obvious changes so far, no oil consumption and the engine works great.

Pull the plugs out and see what the color is, or use an air to fuel meter to detect what the burn is at. Air Cooled engines typically like slightly richer mixtures to help with the cooling.
