Cub Cadet ZTX6 with Kawasaki FX801VC66957. DS25. Noticed I have oil seepage around the area of oil drain fitting that the oil drain tube screws into. Not real bad but base of engine and under the fitting stays wet. I tightened and it may have slowed it some. Anyone else had an issue ? Thought oring could be the problem. This is after I cleaned it after tightening the fitting IMG_1568.jpeg

Could provide the serial of the engine and maybe a picture of that setup looks like as the OEM of mower may have added something.

BTW the ZTX6 doesn't get me to which OEM it is. Sorry I work on too many different OEMs and they are constantly coming with new models.

I’m wondering if that’s where my leak is. I tightened it and wondering about if there might be a o-ring issue. I can’t see anything else that might cause it. I already knew about the part you mentioned. Does that mean I need a new o-ring ?

Yes those o-rings go bad that why I got about 98 of them on the shelf for these Kawasaki engine. Probably be several years before I need order any more. Each if these engine has two of o-rings. There a plug on the opposite side that has one too.

Mower only have 28 hrs on it. Wonder when the KAW-670d2016 was superseded ? Mine is a 2023 model.

Gonna replace the KAW-92055-0892 o-ring. Do I need to put Teflon tape on the threads ahead of the o-ring ? Don’t won’t it to seep or leak,

No it will cause a leak. The o-ring suppose to be the seal. BTW 15.8mm is basically a 5/8 o-ring of appropriate thickness hence the two McMaster crosses.

I have no idea as it was already superseded when I was looking it for a job here a few years ago. The ipl I was looking at the time had the old number but when I looked it on the distributor it was superseded.
