Hi M.,
Still kind of funny though. Here are some real-world problems some of us deal with:
Option 1: Not enough caffeine
Option 2: Too much caffeine (maybe with a nip of Brandy)
Option 3: Meds kicked in hard (not eating with meds)
Option 4: Tri-focal glasses with lines and cannot read between the lines when he turns his head slightly.
Option 5: Needs new glasses or wear the ones he has.

Look the OP edited the first post after I joke about it but it did at first said Crab. Auto spell checkers to help as long you type the right words.
1. I have gave up on my three pot of coffee a day when my double in price.
2. Not a problem since I gave coffee.
3. Might be a problem If I wasn't for forgetting to take meds on time. Got to be very not to double up on them. I can live with higher blood pressure some day but not with no blood pressure.
4 & 5. Single vision glasses that I can't see the screen without a pair of reader over them but most days I just done without them when working on the computer. But do have bad habit laying them down and not being able to find until go get the spare pair. Opps there going another pair from a big foot problem in the shop. I got to get my butt to the eye doctor for another pair. Prescription expired.
Strange thing with contacts twice as strong as current eyeglasses I could see up close without a problem. But they were damaging my corneas which is why they keep getting stronger each year. Now I am back to -3.25 from -7.00 with regular glasses. You don't me on the road without them. I can't even see the color of traffic lights without them.

Caffeine (coffee) first thing in the morning and that’s it for me for the day.
I use readers throughout the day.

I just hope big Brother stop acting like baby brother demanding everything to change at once just satisfy his wants. Doing things the last minute isn't cutting it and it is costly too. A big one is SS and Medicare looming bankruptcy. They will wait unit the second before they try to fix that problem and that is around just 4 years now. And it is a third rail issue.

Hard to know what will go down. Too many people believing the solution to all problems is OPM - other people's money.
Andy - keep us posted how the crab boil goes
and if the o-rings fit.After cleaning if any of the parts need replacing I do not bother. The complicated o-ring that seals the "plastic structure (that mounts the float and everything)" rarely fits well and is a pia even if it does. I have seen where this plastic structure warps and the part itself is about double the price of an aftermarket carb. Maybe I am getting impatient in my years but I prefer replacing these carbs.
AND I've found it to be a waste of time trying to use a generic oring. I've got several o ring kits and none fit.
Go by the part number.
In the USA I've bought them in 5 and 10 packs, even from flea bay. Just go to the dealer and expect some sticker price shock.
Also go to You tube for some good info about how to install the o ring onto the jet then into the carb (using a wire as a guide and some lube. The o ring will appear too small for the jet then too large when installing the jet into the carb.
Go by the part number.

I use Rotary ones without a problem. Even the Briggs ones can be manufacture with defects. I returned 10 a few years ago because of a defect.
And there are two styles of these bowl gasket o-rings.
Never seen one in 17 yrs to be warped. You do not reuse the old o-rings. If you are too cheap to spend $4 for a gasket and and the jet o-ring then you should call it quits. So where can you get an aftermarket carb for $4 or less?
