pioneer s series motor stopping

Good afternoon
here is my issues
mower dies when
disingage emergency brake
move levers
engage pto
trouble shooted by checking the switches against trying to start while engaged or dis engaed
seem to be working correct as if you would be starting it
what am i missing

i cut the wires on the seat switch and jump it still same issue i unpluged every switch and again the same issue i seen on utube about a roll over switch but cant find it i still need help or sugestions please

• Some of the interlock safety switches MAKE a connection and others BREAK the connection when actuated. It helps to know which is which during testing.
• We always look at the seat switch first because it simply gets the most number of actuations and is therefore more likely to fail.
• I agree with your test of "jumpering out the switch" as a better test than the application of an Ohm meter. The weight of your "real world" buttocks on the seat might (or even the weight difference between you and your 8yo son) give variations not detected with a meter.
• If you are in the habit of washing your mower (especially with a pressure washer), then ANY of the switches could suffer from water damage. Mower switches aren't sealed from water like those found on a boat or motorcycle. That's the down-side of washing.
