1156 Bulb Replacement - LED upgrade recommendations

I thought about doing the same thing on my L120 but I don't want to melt my headlights. But you're thinking LED and I was thinking halogen. I'm not sure how hot they will get. I'm gonna look around some on the LEDs. I agree, the 1156 bulbs are... pitiful.

Repairs manual for john deere 160

I would do some service sometimes on x-ray eqpt and if there wasn't much to it I wouldn't charge the customer anything. A lady that worked for us told me I'll probably die broke but there will be lot of people at your funeral. ??? Yours is gonna be standing room only....

2021 John Deere X380 First Impressions and Review

Shoot, I believe I could sell my old 98 Z71 with 326k miles and get enough out of it to get one of them. Naw, I ain't selling my truck but that's a good looking mower. I enjoy tinkering with stuff too much to get a new one. (Most of the time. I have opened a can of worms more than once.)

    The annual Z425 no start.

Lucas makes a ethanol treatment additive. Might want to try it. Corn is for creaming, frying, boiling, corn bread, grits and I'm sure I'm forgetting something else but it ain't good for fuel. They only have non-ethanol at a couple of stations near me. It's 3.00 a gal now.

    The annual Z425 no start.

I would try my best to find the non-ethanol fuel if possible. I don't think octane will matter. I've used non-ethanol "regular" 87 octane in my 4-stroke and 2-stroke equipment the past couple of years and haven't had any fuel related troubles with anything. I used to have to get carb. kits or at...

LA150 Oil Sump & Other Adventures

Dadgumit... you're making me wanna tear my LT120 down. If I didn't still need it to pull my Cyclone leaf sucker upper I'd be tempted to do it. For now I'll watch you have all the fun.

    JD L120 hydro transaxle failure

[ We'll, Bert, I'd bet on your wisdom before my own. I'm sure you've torn down and repaired more of them than I have. So far it's still working fine. Should I drain it and refill it with what you mentioned in hopes of extending the life of it? And I wouldn't intentionally post any "tosh" to...

    JD L120 hydro transaxle failure

    JD L120 hydro transaxle failure

What I was told was that the factory puts budget brand 10w30 when they're built and when you get some viscosity breaking down it loses its grip inside. And it sure enough fixed mine. I don't guess you have to split the case. I suppose jyou could drain it out of the fill hole. But it's probably a...

    JD L120 hydro transaxle failure

This is a little late on response time. I just happened to see your post. My 120 trans started slipping and growling. I pulled it out (you can't check fluid level in it), drained it, removed bolts and separated them. Checked the gears, all good, refilled with synthetic 5w-50 motor oil per...

08 L120 Fuel tanks ever leak?

So you're saying to loosen the dash/cowl assy and then I guess do the same with rear body part and then there's enough room, hopefully, to get the tank out by lifting the body up. Does that sound right? Thanks for your help. Maybe it won't ever leak. I probably shouldn't have said that.?

08 L120 Fuel tanks ever leak?

I got lucky. It was the fuel line. But it's good to know what kind of plastic it is and a good material for a repair. I'm an ex-bodyman and have repaired some plastics in the past. I think the repair will be easier than removing the tank. Maybe I'll never have to do it. Is this Bert from down...

08 L120 Fuel tanks ever leak?

On the backside of fuel tank there's a dipped out area where the fuel line comes down from the top of the tank. The fuel tank is two parts. Do the fuel tanks leak very often where they're joined? I saw that the area where the fuel line goes through the dipped out place is where the leak is. (see...

04 L120/ Engaging mower clutch or letting out on brake/clutch pedal kills engine

So I was happy as a pig rolling in s*** for a couple of hours getting the grass cut and it quit running, so I pushed switch in for the mower clutch and pushed the brake/clutch pedal down and it started right up. When I pulled switch out for mower it killed the motor. Pushed it back in. Restarted...
