7394: Might try & run some Seafoam in the gas, & run it thru thoroughly. We are unable to get Seafoam here in Australia. I do, however, run the fuel stabiliser Sta-Bil in all my equipment.

Yes, I agree with you. I have tested the fuel pump pressure, at 2.9 psi, I don't think that would be a problem. So that leaves the carburettor as the likely problem, so I have decided to take a chance on an aftermarket one.

Thanks for your reply. I agree. It's probably a carburettor issue. I'm leaning towards getting the carburettor kit due to not having had the best success with Amazon/eBay carburettors.

It has a Champion RC12YC, the plug they tell you to use. I don't think trying a hotter plug will make a difference. You can tell by sound that it's running rich. Any other ideas.

You have a valve problem on the right side. If you feel comfortable doing try setting the valve clearances but do both sides and see what that does. Also check the plug on the right cylinder.
