Just finished and cut lawn. All good. Used rear tires (old ones worn), new bushings for each tire (2 per tire), new spacers since one was missing on rear tires. Replaced all tire bolts. Replaced oil tube bolt since was missing and tube loose. Greased with NLGI #2 lithium grease per Toro. Parts...
Since these are not urgent may leave until winter and only a few gas cuts needed. Thought about buying a new one but my Dad bought this 20 years ago for me and still runs good. i have learned alot about repairing lawn mowers thanks to the folks here. Saving me money.
Ordered all the parts I need and removed the bushings from the front and rear tire. Removed the bushings correctly from rear but incorrectly from front. The front I pshed both out and realized some plastic fell out. That was the lip the bushing sits up against hence they should be pushed out one...
Replaced the two rear tires but found out the tire that fell off was missing wheel cover spacer. This explains why the tire that fell off could not be tightened when reinstalled causing wheel to lock. So, need to buy that and bushings. Took the old tires and knocked out their bushing with a...
I took apart the rear wheels and replaced some parts and cleaned it up a while ago. The mower was easier to push afterwards, less friction but not sure if I replaced the bushing in the pivot arm.
Have not been here for a while but would like to share and ask your opinion.
My left rear wheel fell off. Found the bolt but not nut. Found a nut that fit the threads but had to slightly grind the sides of the nut to fit in bolt slot. Would have to get the OEM nut to fit in but need it fixed...
Arien Model 938016 Serial 006441 Snowblower. Think 3392E name on cover. Where is spark arrestor or maybe does not have one. Can't find on any schematics.
Kind of rebuilt it for a friend. New paddles, new belt, new plug, new scraper, and tightened and lubricated all nuts and bolts. Very poorly...
Toro / Briggs and Straton - 20 plus years and still going. Speaking as a consumer not commercial. The key is maintenance. So many other mowers out there are also good but if not maintained properly you should not rate as a bad choice. Does smoke a little on high grass but other than that is...
Just blowing some white smoke when cutting some high grass otherwise none. May be the head gasket since in the process of removing the top to fix some things, like recoil, may have loosened the head bolts. Did tighten but no torque. Well maintained. Replace head gasket?
