Craftsman DGS 6500 - clicks but won't start
Remove the kill switch on the coil, see. If it will start. If so, there is a safety switch keeping it from starting -

Briggs& Stratton engine will not turn over
If it is an Intek engine, the problem is probably the compression release on the camshaft, very common problem on Intek engines.
