I hate to be asking so many questions , that are so basic, but my solenoid gas shorted to ground and needs to be replaced. My question is this. Do I have to remove starter also, before separating the two? All help is graciously received. Terry

My 1997 ch25s has died!! I have located a ch740-0013 cheap but it has 1 7/16 shaft. Can source a clutch assembly to fit shaft, but don't know about front shaft connection. Will my existing shaft hardware fit this larger shaft? Any help before I commit myself will be appreciated. Terry

For the life of me , I have tried every way possible to access the three grease fittings on pto shaft of my 725k, to no avail. Is it necessary to completely remove front deck in order to lube this area?? Thanks to all for any help.

How do I tell if spindles need rebuilding? Deck sounds pretty noisy on my 'new to me' 725k. Prev owner not very maintenance minded. Any real trick to rebuilding them? I am 75 yr old man with average skills. Need any special tools or is it just 'wrenching '?

Just bought a vintage Ferris Commercial Pro Cut 48, and what a nice machine it is! cuts like a dream and is 27 yrs old. Never used commercially and I am 2nd owner. all original w/ 934 hrs on working hourmeter. orig tires, seat and paint.
