I have been personally researching and looking for an electric motor to replace my Honda gcv200 motor which is making a loud knocking sound , and not getting any support from the warranty department.
Electric motors or more powerful last longer they're lighter. They cost less to produce and a battery technology is moving away from lithium into graphene Which is less polluting last longer and holds more energy.
When you say GCV do you mean the GCV 200 because the previous GCV 190 was an overhead cam engine GCV200 are overhead valve, which Was why I was wondering if there simular to the commercial engines.
Yeah I'm in the process of winter maintenance, so I've drained the oil, adjusted valves etc. But I'd like to know why it has been knocking and has dirty oil and fouled spark plug from 3 months of use. The valve lash did seem to be off so maybe thats the problem. Maybe the carb needs adjusting...
