we are 300 miles from any kind of decent hardware store let alone a small engine shop. I will probably take it out and use a bow tie clip or a cotter pin Thx again

This had the old cup style that gets ruined when you take it off. I don't think this rod has a drilled end and I will have to take it out to drill it. I have lot's of the bow style.

any idea where i can find the phony clip that goes onto the rod?
