Lol, I hear you and I usually take pictures of everything before hand, but it looked so simple and I said to myself "I don't need any pictures of this" lol, now look.

Hey man, finally got a chance to reroute the belt, and just wanted to show you guys before I put the deck back. It's definitely a little trickier than how easy it looks in the manual. Thanks

I took a shot at it again today and I'm really not seeing what I did wrong. The belt is not overly tight, it has some slack and everything else looks right to me, I mean all I did was take the old belt off and put a new one on, so this is definitely baffling me. I did forget to pull on both...
Maybe I did put it on the wrong side... Hopefully I'll get to it tomorrow and take a picture of it. It's such a simple belt layout, I don't see how I could screw that up. Maybe I had one too many when I did it, lol
Hey guys, I've finally got to the tranny belt and things went a lot smoother than I expected, except for just one thing. I put everything back the same way, or at least I thought I did, but when step on the brake to start the mower, it is extremely tight and the brake won't go down enough for me...
Hi guys, yes it is the transmission belt directly under the motor like you've mentioned. Is this belt a complete bitch to get to or is it just me ? So I have to remove the entire mower deck ? Thanks to both of you for your help.
Well when I looked, all of the
Belts seemed to be ok, the belt under where the battery goes came off, and I put it back. How can I tell for sure about the things you've mentioned. Thanks !
Hello everyone, I've gotten into a little problem with my Murray 405000x8c. I was cutting the grass as usual and I hit a tree root that was under the grass. So, to make a long story short, it jerked everything really good, bent the mower deck, loosened a belt and more. After I had fixed those...
I'm just seeing this message, thank you a whole lot for that. Yes, most manuals definitely assume that you're factory trained, to me that's by design and done intentionally, they make the diagrams like that too, so people like me will go crazy trying to replace linkages or springs. It's almost...
Ok, wow this will be a challenging fix for me, I'm definitely getting a buddy to help me with this one, he's no professional but knows way more than me. If I had to pay a shop to do this it would cost an arm and a leg, wouldn't be worth it. I just hope we can do it. Thank you for the clarification !
