    That's very true. I'm a Diesel mechanic and I always do that, but in this case the original spring broke off and fell in the yard. So I never got to see it's position.

    I have a 247288841 Craftsman tractor. I want to find brake pads for it and possible the brake assembly if needed. It seems that all the parts list online skip the brake assembly. Any idea where I can find parts?
