    Tried it. Didn't work. Reckon the can has slipped. Saw it on a video, plastic cams. I know the mower runs, but doesn't start.

    Have a Briggs DOV engine on a Victa. This thing won't start. I've cleaned the carb with ultra sonic cleaner. Replaced spark plug. Re gaped the coil thingy, adjusted valve lash to spec. Replaced air filter. The only time I can get this to start is with a spray of carb cleaner. The mower runs...

    Interesting post, could a safety switch be killing the electric circuit and preventing the mower from starting. I will remember the tip about removing the kill wire.
