I took off both kill wires and it still only fires on the right side.

it is the left cylinder that isn't firing. I replaced the coil with an OEM Kawa 21121-0709. That is how I mounted it.

It is the coil. Left cylinder isn't firing. New plugs. Swapped right plug with left and still no fire. I bought a new OEM coil and installed it, gapped with a business card. Still no fire. Both coils test good with a multimeter. I think I must have a dead short somewhere but can't find it.

I have this same problem. Same proprietary engine. How do you know which one goes on which side.

I use the middle can. Engine is clean. Deck is scraped and wire brushed. Why would it run normally one day and not the next?
