    Thank you, that was what the problem was. The diode! Took both diodes to the JD Dealership and asked to have them tested. The mechanic laughed and said he had just finish troubleshooting and mower with the same issue as mine and discovered the diode had failed. Put the new one in and the unit...

    Thank you. It has 2 of these. Going to stop by the local JD dealer (hour drive) and see if they will test these and the relays for me tomorrow. Of course, my relay tester cannot test these relays because they are designed with a sleeve covering the prongs.

    Which one is a box diode? I see 4 relays, 2 orange things that only have 2 wire connections each, and a small 3 plug connection that maybe a relay. Thank you.
