I agree with checking the fuel out of the tank for cracks. I had one on a chainsaw. It ran fine with the tank full, but quit when teh tank was half down. The crack was below the half full line and it sucked air when exposed.

I didn't see where you replaced the air filter. It could be dirty.. You did say it only bogs down when the air filter is installed.

I have used 10% ethanol ever since it came out without any problems. Ethanol does absorb water but that keeps water from accumulating in your gas tank. When you buy gas line anti-freeze it is alcohol to absorb the water to prevent the freezing. The alcohol burns with the gas. I would not use...
