I did pull it off and checked for any cracks etc. the pull is consistent and has great compression. I will have to check the exhaust valve and will get back on that. I replaced all the rubber boots connecting the air off the carb over to the breather intake..... it's not as close as it looks...

I actually did and also had seen gas coming out from between the carb and the tank. I replaced with a new gasket and the gas stopped showing up. The engine speed didn't change when spraying......as for the 191 and not 131....fat fingers! Thnx

Does anyone have wisdom and sage advice for getting an old 1980 vintage Toro model 22015 series 5001561 briggs/stratton model 191922 type 0163-01 to stay running without having to mess with the needle valve on the carb. I've cleaned the carb, replaced the diaphragm and spring. Checked to see if...
