Need help with a Honda engine GX390

Have you already attached the fuel tank and carburetor? Have you tried starting it? Did you do the initial adjustment on the pilot screw (screw all the way in, then loosen 3 complete turns)? Do you have a float gauge, and did you check that the float height is set to 13.2mm (0.52 in)? The...

    Engaging blades kills engine

This isn't a competition, to me. If you want to toot your own horn, Bert, go ahead. I imagine we're all proud of you for your accomplishments. That's speculation, but not an accusation. I have offered advice to a couple of people - I'm no expert at this, and have never claimed to be one. If...

    Engaging blades kills engine

Are you sitting on the seat when you're doing your testing? If not, did you bypass the seat's kill switch? If you answer both of these "No" then that's your problem.

HRR216K9VKAA new transmission, belt tight, still no power to wheels

I bought a HRR216K9VKAA about a year ago, and it's a great mower, or it was until about 2 weeks ago. I had only used this mower about 7 or 8 times on my yard, which is about 3/4 acre. I started mowing the other day, the grass was kind of tall, so I took my time and mowed slowly, overlapping...
