You might get lucky and find a mower being junked by a neighbor, friend, coworker or? that you can cannibalize for its long block. It would have to be the same OHV engine with the same shaft dimensions to work. It would just be a case of transferring the working parts from the blown up motor...

Defective crankcase breather, maybe. Hydrolock may be occurring on the downstroke of the piston due to high crankcase pressure. Overfilled oil? Does the crank move at all or does it act like it's seized? Compression test, maybe?

Try disconnecting the ground wire from the deadman apparatus. If it starts, your problem is with the control cable, the ground wire or the assembly itself. I lean towards a failing coil, though. Good luck.

Your reply is much appreciated. The saw was brought to me due to what appeared to be a fuel delivery issue. I tries searching this model number ay all of my usual places and came up dry. Now, I know the associated models to order parts needed. Thanks again, Bill

Has anybody crossed paths with this model and if possible, does anybody know what it is cross referenced with in this conglomeration of makes? Any help would be appreciated as I am coming up empty.
