Hi, Murray40Rider here. You helped me with suggesting self tapping studs for a B&S revised engine Intake Manifold. I bought a pair of studs/nuts on ebay and assembled the manifold to carb. Worked great and am thankful for your advice. Thought I'd tell you how it turned out. Thanks again, Mike

Hi, Thanks for responding. Bought new part from Amazon-B&S part. Part in your pic looks like what I have now. The end with sleeves (red ring seal) is attached to engine. Other end attaches to carb with studs. Right? Those holes are my problem.

Hi Star Tech, Fixed surging with gov adjust. Instead of rotating arm clockwise to control bracket (youtube), I let arm spring dictate position. Holding in place tightened jam nut. All is good now. Thanks for your comments. You guys are always great help. Mike
