I'm about to go mow two yards right now. A zero turn couldn't do these yards due to size and slant. Ever notice how the mowing team, the fat guy is on the zero turn and the skinny guy is weed trimming? Maybe they should rotate jobs a bit.

Mower still going strong! Mowed another yard with it yesterday, grass nearly 8 inches tall in places. I did have the deck raised all the way up though. I don't know how much money I've made with this cast away mower, certainly over a grand so far.

Mow with a push mower and lose whatever weight you can. You're welcome. LOL. (I do a lot of mowing with a push mower, have mowed over 3 hours non-stop with one, but that wasn't 10 acres!) OP, what did you end up doing?

Lady's place is really grown up.....REALLY BAD. Tall bushes, vines, trees much too close to her house. She answered my "odd jobs" add in the local trading paper and we came to an agreement on my wife and I removing the brush, trees, etc. and hauling those off to the landfill. I've done jobs...

Would you consider selling that shaft straightener device? I was mowing for a guy the other day and hit a pipe! Old guy had really let his place go and it was hidden in some tall grass. I currently have that mower in the shop for them to try their shaft straightener on it but If I keep up...

Mowed four yards with the mower today.....I LOVE THIS MOWER. Lighter than Little Blacky, uses much less gasoline. HOW COULD ANYONE ABANDON SUCH A WONDERFUL LITTLE MOWER?

I'd still straighten the thing. If it cuts off my leg, that's on me. I'll sign any release anyone wants when it comes to that or any other risk I take.

Rich, Thanks man. Frankly I'm a little surprised a lawn mower forum has members that suggest buying a new mower over fixing it. I thought the purpose for a forum was to help others fix stuff. Got the mower for free.....enjoy the challenge. Now that the remnants of Hurricane Ida blew...
