    Snapper Clutch/Brake Liner Replace???

When we were a dealer, the smooth-start clutch liner was indeed glued in place. There were two different part #s, one for the "wheelie" mowers and one for the smooth-start. I think that later on, the aftermarket just used one disc for both and you installed the liner. I don't know if you glued...

Are All Snapper Push Mower Bags The Same?

I'm almost certain that the black and white bags were interchangeable, as long as both were for 21" mowers. The exception may be the 21" commercial (C in the model #) mowers. I think they were a little bigger, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it. We sold very few of the "C" mowers and I think they...

    Snapper BagNWagon

Bag-N-Wagons only fit the 28 & 33. The 26 & 30" mowers would bag grass, but nowhere near as well as a Hi-Vac.

    Snapper BagNWagon

If it fit a push mower, it wasn't a Bag-N-Wagon.

    Snapper BagNWagon

My dad sold one the first year he was a dealer, back in '76. I don't think it existed long before that. The only mower it would work on then was the 28", which I think came out about the same time.

3311X6S - just purchased - questions about engine

252707 would be correct for that mower, but the date code of 78 would not. The series 6 was late 80's. The engine has been replaced, or at least the blower housing. Numbers being ground off was not that unusual. Engine mfrs. frowned on equipment mfrs. selling off unused engines to surplus supply...

Need 3011X5S year and battery info

This mower is a series 5 and from about the mid '80s. The engine appears original. The first two digits in the code # dictate what year the engine was made. Most likely the same year as the mower or the previous year.

    Baggers for Snapper mowers?

A bagger from a 30" will NOT interchange with a 28 or 33. The deck adapter is different, and most likely the pipe diameter is smaller for a 30". When I was a dealer, 26 & 30 shared the same bagger, 28 & 33 shared the same, and the 25 had a bagger of its own. That was pre 1995, but I don't think...

Can't find 30W oil anywhere in my area, or on line.

I always used non-detergent 30W in my car wash pumps. Napa carried it under their own brand name. One of my washes was near a Tractor Supply store and I usually just bought it there, under their store brand "Traveler".

What model do I have for old snapper

A couple of things I would check. Gear shift adjustment - If the clutch is partially over the hole in the drive disc, it won't pull well and the disc won't last. Worn yoke - This is most likely. Check the slot in the yoke that rocks back and forth when clutching. They get notches worn in them...

    Mower will not crank!

Yes, "cranking" and "turn over" mean basically the same thing. It's what is happening before the engine starts. It's confusing when trying to help someone with a problem, but don't feel too bad, you're not the only one.

What Gator replacement for a Timecutter 75760?

I figured I would update this thread. I ended up using the 96-319 Oregon blade. They fit, but they had several differences. They were about 1/4 wider than the originals. They were flat across the width, while the originals were concave near the edge. They had about 1/8" less offset, which made...
