    See if you can borrow the other neighbors zero turn and see if you really dislike them as most people love the faster cutting times,no gear selecting,better handling and steering of zero turns.. 3 blades vs 2 blades is a much better,faster cut in my opinion,and 50" zero turns can be found...

    Usually it doesn't kill the coil if it touches unless the flywheel grinds the coils face then it could.. you can use a multimeter to test the coils,youtube has many tutorial videos on testing.. Have you tried a new spark plug as I've seen instances where the plug would fire outside the cylinder...

    Test all of your coils using a multi meter set to ohms.. It most likely should read well below 17 whixh is thebouter limits for usability but the lower the number the better.. Then install the 2 with the lowest numbers remembering to gap them the same as your plug gap... Next look for a wire...

    Toro dealers and parts dealers can help you as my Toro ss5000 came with the same basic FR651V Kawi engine...Youll reuse everything on the outside of the engine itself..yours should be the 1 1/8" shaft..
