I have a JD X595 that won't start when hot. I have serviced it regularly, changing filters & oil. Runs like a champ when cold, but sputters at low RPM's when hot, then won't start after shut down. This is a diesel 3 cylinder engine.

After a couple of months of trial, and error, I have finished rebuilding my dads 1970 model 7260! It took severe priming, and about 15 pulls, and the sound I haven't heard, or the odor of 2 cycle oil I haven't smelled in 25 years, was back! Veroom, she wailed! I feel really good about...

OK, so I have installed all of my new parts(1970 model 7260). Now I have a new exhaust gasket, and flange. So what's the trick to getting all the pieces in the correct order, to where the head will align with the bolts? I have learned a whole new language trying this!

Does anyone know what function the carburetor needle foley has? I have my dads old Lawn Boy, and have been through the carburetor, but can't find what this green knob does. Any help appreciated!
