I'm new to the group. I have a 2001 Broadmoor tractor with a 16 HP Kohler engine. If I can't start the engine after a few tries, there's a whining noise for as long as the key is turned in the ignition. I'm thinking it might be my starter and/or solenoid and it's only a matter of time before...

I'm a new member and wanted to ask about my 2001 Simplicity with a Kohler 16 hp engine. If I can't start it initially, the engine will make a whining noise for as long as the key is turned. Trying to start it after it starts making the whining noise is almost impossible.
