I have a murry push mower with a brigs and stratton e450 and it takes about 10 to 14 primes and 14 pulls of the cord to start is it the carburetor? good gas new plug. but if I start it a few days later it takes 7 primes and 2 pulls only if it sits 1 week does it take 14. What is wrong?

I have a 987071 robin engine 13.5 side draft carb and it stalled and gas is is shooting out the air filter housing and out a 3/8" hole in the side of the carb do you know what is wrong?
