I did buy the x585 which was a couple of months ago. No problems so far apart from usual wear items. My wife loves mowing with it so Im out of a job. Best of luck with whatever mower you decide on next.

Looking at buying a X585 with a 62" deck. The machine has a broken hour meter so not sure of the hours although the owner has service history from JD service center. I ll be inspecting the machine tomorrow. Obvious things like fluids, belts, pullies etc If anyone is familiar with this machine...
