    Recommend mower?

Here you go! The Gravely ZT X is about $3500 and has a ZT-2200 transmission. So, pretty close to your price and serviceable. There may be others, but Gravely appears to be one of the better manufacturers.

    Recommend mower?

My bad. Even at this level, though you can service the transmission, it’s not designed to do so, nor is it Easy. if you care about that sort of thing (the transmissions are so expensive to replace basically you end up throwing the machine away if you have a transmission issue), look for a...

    Recommend mower?

An Ariens IKON-XD is $3673, which is pretty close to your budget, has a serviceable transmission, and from what I can tell reasonably well built. It comes with a Kawasaki FR600. I think it’s kind of where the more robust mowers start. Once you go much below that, it’s not that they won’t work...

    Zero turn recommendations

So you tasting to find a smaller tractor, it are you looking for a ZT? I’m transitioning from a tractor to a ZT myself. Looking at Gravely and Bobcat. What’s your budget. 1 are really isn’t too big, so IMO a shaker high-quality machine (48-52” cut) might be a good choice.

    Bobcat or Gravely

HAha, it takes about an hour, and the wife has died there while thing with a push mower, but that’s hard in her!? that’s why I was thinking a 42-44” would be fine. She likes doing it, so my job is to just keep it running. I do have one area that has a tricky bit of slope to it, and having never...

    Buying - Selling

Is the Hood gone, or just needs fixing. My wife rolled my JD and fortunately she wasn’t in it when it happened. The only damage was the hood. I fixed it better than new and haven’t had a lick of trouble with it. I got a new seat of e-bay.

    42" Riding Mower Choice

I’ve also been checking out the Gravely ZT HD series, and if that’s a little out of your price range also check it the Ariana IKON-XD I’m about to drop the hammer on either a Gravely or a new, year old Bobcat.

    Bobcat or Gravely

Thanks for the input. We always wear Ear protection when operating outdoor equipment. For whatever reason, it’s something I’ve done my whole life, so though I’m over 60, I still have very good hearing. Having her drive both machines is a good idea.

    Bobcat or Gravely

I have 1/2-3/4 acre to mow, and the little lady isn’t happy with the JD318 (I guess she doesn’t appreciate the classics!). The JD has a 50” deck. She likes hire a smaller mower filled the contour a bit better, so I was thinking 42-44” cutting width. i didn’t want to spend much more than $5K and...
