Thanks for your input.
I went and checked for kinks, corrosion etc. Found nothing apparent.
I purchased new throttle control, installed and works fine.
I dismantled the old one and could not see what the problem was. Put it back together
and it works fine. Must have needed cleaning/lubrication...
My E110 throttle lever sticks in high speed and won't return to idle.
Starts and runs OK (choke works) but just won't idle down.
What is most likely cause? Throttle cable or something else?
I have a 19.2HP 917-271810 with a blown engine.
Can I use the deck from the 917-271810 on a
917-270732. They are both 42" decks.
It looks like the engagement system is different.
One uses a cable and the other uses a mechanical system.
Thanks in advance for any guidance

Thank you for your input
I do know that it is a 1984 engine, but the frame, deck, and transmission have all been replaced, so unless the cost of an engine is prohibitive, then it might be cheaper than mower payments
And I might be wrong!
Craftsman 917-271810
Intek 20 HP died. I need to replace it.
Apparently can't buy a direct replacement because the mower is old.
What engine will be compatible and available for this Lt100
I'm open to suggestions, but I don't plan on rebuilding this engine.
Older Craftsman LT1000 has been running good, but suddenly just spins on start.
What is the best way to proceed?
I have thought about a new engine or rebuilding this one.
I have never rebuilt an engine
Thanks in advance
I purchased the st100 string trimmer with the 192cc engine.
from the git go it starts with 2 pulls just like the manual says.
the manual says it will always start on 2 pulls, hot or cold.
In fact the "2 pulls" is part of the warranty.
When i shut it down for a few minutes it does not start...
