Do these bearings press fit, into link rod? Probably need a hyd press or maybe just a vice? Or do I stake them in at the edges? Thank you for any advice?

This rod has radial grooves(oiling?). Does it install w/ grooves side riding against the crank web or the other way? The 2nd pic is the way I think it should be but not sure. I think i had previously installed it wrong since the bearing burned up after 5 min of running....sigh Thankyou
