A fuel shut off cured the excess smoking on 3 of mine. Seems the fuel drains out and collects in the muffler U pipe and takes awhile to burn out. No ideas on the carb bolts.

I've used Amsoil Saber in my LawnBoy mowers since the late 1970's. Never a problem, just use E-free gas, and use Saber at 4 oz. per 1 gallon of mix.
