Get a battery tender and use it! The tender will keep a battery charged up and will switch to storage mode when the battery is charged...It will not however charge a dead battery. I have a 3 yr. old Federated battery that is still strong because I use a Battery Tender. Just a thought...

Last year my snow blower only had 1 speed forward ( so fast I had to almost run behind it and no reverse. I took it apart and discovered the drive wheel was worn down to nothing...long story short I am in process of replacing the drive wheel and both belts...fingers crossed.

Anytime I shear a flywheel key I always use valve lapping compound and lap the flywheel on the crank snout to get a good tight fit. aif the flywheel is a bit crooked due to missalignment will cause a vibration.

Wrong fuel filter. Replaced filter with a smaller screen type and leveled the fuel line ( had a belly in it ). Starts cold opr hot now and runs great. Yes the carb is Chineseium but it works as it should.
