Give a quick shot of starting fluid into the air intake. If it won't at least fire one time you have narrowed it down to plug, ignition, or carb.
If it fires, you have narrowed it down to the carb.
If it won't fire on starting fluid, and if you have compression, chances are it's the plug or ignition.
Get a spark tester on amazon for $8. Set it for 10mm or lawn mower.

Woops. Amazon Cost is up to $7.49. All gap testers work the same. Set it to lawn mower or LM which is usually 10cm and see if it arcs.
After you pull the flywheel and the key is good you need to verify you have spark. Get a $5 spark tester.
If those two don't work, see if you can find a $15 carb on Amazon. New carbs will often solve problems.
