As you can see with my previous carb it's linked to the throttle but also linked to the thermostat over on the muffler of which the metal bar broke off which I've got a long vegetable twist tie I'm ready to replace with. I'm guessing when it gets hot enough it opens the choke a bit right? Thanks!

Thanks! Thanks! Turns out I lost the center spring. Somehow that must make it work right. I'll have to find it or a suitable spare lying around...

I took it off to replace the rope and had troubles and ending up taking it all apart and now this "pawl" part won't engage. I don't recall being as loose as it is but the bolt can't tighten any more to make this cover tighter. I don't even know though what the problem is or how these...
