Is it worth upgrading to gator g3 with this toro blade I already have

Nope. Been mowing as a business for almost 10 years, used a lot of different blades. A blade is a blade, is a blade, is a blade. Well, almost. Get a standard high lift blade, keep it sharp (properly done, no rounded corners at the tip edge), and BALANCE it, and provided your motor up to...

    Kawasaki FH680V Overheating

I have an FT730V that had a similar problem. Discovered the cooling fins were about 50% clogged with dirt and grass. My bad for not seeing that sooner. Anyway, cleaned them, and replaced the temperature sensor (EFI engine). No more an issue. Don't forget to check the fins inside the shroud.

    Honda break in

Shouldn't go wrong following manufacturers directions.

    Photo of ditch please advise!

Easy. I regularly cut ditch banks twice that angle. As long as it is dry, of course. Cut either way, but would look better if cut lengthwise.

    Sharpening Blades

I use a 40 grit flapper disc on a Dewalt angle grinder. Makes for a very shiny look. I would think a 220 grit would take all day. Yes, very fast, but often I have to dress up the tip on a grinding wheel. Got to have the tip as close to a square angle as you can get it. The more rounded the...

    Mower bogs down too much

Agree about the dealer, but not another anywhere close. But that is why I do all my own maintenance. Long story on this trip, just wanted them to hook up to computer and tell me what it said. Anyway, appear to be back to normal. I still think the large mounting plate on the rear restricted...

    Mower bogs down too much

I can't argue with you. I had a mounting plate bolted to the rear bumper for the grass collection system, covered the whole back of the mower where the engine is. The fins were not visible. And since I had never encountered that problem before, never thought to check. When I removed the...

    Mower bogs down too much

Think I got mower back to normal.. Dealer said the engine overheated, but couldn't tell me why or how. Said I needed a new engine (imagine that from a dealer). Said the engine bogged down because of low compression, but since the cylinder walls weren't scored, the rings must be bad. duh...

    Mower bogs down too much

I kinda figured everything I've read. Just wanted to see if there were facts I hadn't thought of. Thanks for all the info. BTW, have 1500+ hours on mower.

    Mower bogs down too much

Thanks for the input. That's inline with what I hear. I guess I was looking for someone with a good reason not to go that route.

    Mower bogs down too much

At times, that's why I'm doing homework. Understand about costs. Just looking for facts to support decision. There are days when I cut some fields and orchards for 4-6 hours at a time. I have literally worn this mower out. Already replaced the deck.

    Mower bogs down too much

Still waiting on mower from dealer, will update when I get results. Should be this week. Meanwhile, have a question. Am considering getting the diesel model (2600?), and wonder how anyone who has one would rate it to the gas models ? Interested in does it have more power, etc...
