title says it all. Blades are 21.25" long...

Title says it all..... Just used a 42" 2 blade Exmark Quest LTR and was very disappointed in the cutting. It is equipped with the mulching kit. In tall grass 6"-8" it left a line of tall grass down the middle requiring a second pass. In regular length grass the mulching was not very good...

Besides the obvious that 3 blade ZTR's have a wider cutting path, are there any pros and cons between the two. Do they mulch the same, does one clog more often with wet grass then the other, etc.

Ref: Exmark Quest 42" has two blades and the 48" has three blades. Blade tip speed is the same. Does the 3 blade mulch better then the two blade?

What Dixie Chopper would be the equivelent to the Exmark Quest ZTR 48"?

Residential. About one acre with a dozen trees and some flower beds. What would most of you choose? A 42" deck or a 48". For this application does it really make that big a difference?

I'm a homeowner with just under an acre that I mow once a week. Want a zero turn ride on mower. Have an Exmark dealer around the corner and another one close by that sells Dixie Choppers. Looking for sugestions on brand and model. Looked at an Exmark Pioneer S series. Don't know if that is...
