Model 191707 Type 213201 Code 82112912 This mower has been our family about 30 yrs. Not sure how old it is. It came to me last fall,it is smoking and uses a lot of oil. I'm thinking about putting a set of rings in it. Do you think I'm wasting my time and money.

I have a old Simplicity. Someone painted it black. The numbers on the ID plate are 1691891 ser# 03719. Can anyone tell me the year and the model of this unit.
