update. i have the drive idler pulley and a new oem belt and the oem belt idler pulley. it was a bear to get the deck off this machine is there any YT that show how to take the deck off and put it back on? i got the back adjusters off and then had to force the belt off the motor pulley to be...
ok this turned out to be the drive belt idler pulley it was froze. so i got both the drive and the belt idler pulleys and the drive belt only because it is a son of a gun to remove. so i have them ebay ordered now and in a week it will take maybe an hour to replace and get it back on the lawn...
i did find oem parts on ebay so if she gets it to me i will get a belt and the drive spring for that just in case that got weak and put those into it. unless i do find other issues. thanks
ok this is what i came up with so i will look under this set of numbers and go with it thansk
70044 (8-25) - Toro Rear-Engine Riding Mower (SN: 099000001 - 099999999) (1999) Parts Lists & Diagrams
thanks i confirmed the wheels. so yes i suspect the drive belt or the spring tensioner. i told them i can't do that at there house and they will need to get it to me.
even though it appeared to be ok with at fast test i did when it is under power from the engine that is quite a difference...
i have a friend that called with her wheel horse rider an 8-25 model 70044-9900001 and up that will start but will not move in any gear. so i took a ride over and of course it had a dead battery. however for some fast troubleshooting i made sure the drive belt was still on the pulleys and not...
thanks but the parts would not retrofit so not worth looking it up. it is not a real big deal i was just curious to see if that option was available then i would look into a retrofit on that troy built machine. thanks
ok that answers that question. how ever the sears i have also is a solid axle and that steers on the output end of that axle. they used some type of clutch system on the sears. so i was curious if the troy built had that also as a upgrade. anyway we will have to deal with it, it still is better...
i have this troy built model 2410 and i would like to add steering to it. now the steering that you pull a trigger on the bar and it disengages that wheel so you can turn in that direction easier with the help of the wheel that is still driving. i looked on the troy built site and of course that...
i did not see that type at lowes and home depo had something similar but not the exact mix. lowes is like 2 miles away and home depo about 14 miles but i may have to pay them a visit if i do find that exact mix in there online site. it looks like Lowes does have it so i will stop and see. it...
thanks i wonder if lowes has that? i can look on there site and see. i want to get this done soon as i have leaves now on the grass and i can over seed by hand or use my spreader and get it mostly covered before the leave fully cover the grass. thanks
i found this at lowes what do you think of...
the yard is good but you know if i patch just those spots the dogs will move to other places so re seeding the yard would help prevent the new spots if i can find a grass seed that i can toss on the lawn and have it manage to work its way to the dirt and the sprout. but i have to find a grass...
i live in muskegon mi. and i have a fenced in yard that the 2 small dogs use for ther duties. and as you guessed i have the normal spots starting. what i would like to do is reseed over those spots or even the complete backyard with a grass the is just dog pee proof. i water 2 times a week for...
i did say my location in the last part but muskeon michigan. i also stated scotts turf builder grass seed tall fescue is the local stores choice and also for the scotts website, however there may be a better choice. i did watch a YT for zoisa grass but that may not do well as it take a long...
yes i can water the dickens out of the areas but that becomes high maintenance. so much that turning the back yard into sand would be better. that is why i'm looking for grass that can take this abuse. thanks
