    If the clutch on the drive shaft is malfunctioning; would that stop the engine from turning?

    Engine seized??starter engages engine not turning, took both plugs out, top cover off, tried to turn by hand with a bar but it does not rotate just moves a couple of degrees left and right cannot get the engine to rotate fully by hand.

    The clutch that is bolted onto the engine spindle? I replaced that maybe 3 years ago. Is the clutch coil part of that assembly? And thanks for the engine running volts info, before this happened I checked the running volts it was 13volts Im going to jump the mower this morning with the batt...

    replaced fuse thank you for the input!!!! now we have noise but still not turning over. What charges the Battery this is a newish battery, Im taking it to get it checked tomorrow but im thinking the charging system is not working.     NICE ive been looking for one of these wiring diagrams. yes the 15A master fuse by the starter solenoid....starter relay? it looked good yesterday im going to check the continuity today. my meter battery was dud.

    I presume a safety switch is stopping the mower from cranking, the battery is charged

    It was the welds round the deck holding the skirt on to where the grass is thrown out. This deck is terrible when I replaced it I sprayed layers of Underseal on the inside and round the spindle mounts on the top of the deck. I dod clean it and leave it in the sun to dry. Now it has stopped...
