I haven't addressed the coil issue yet. Im not sure where it even is. I just rebuilt the original carburetor and swapped it back on and it wouldn't prime so i swapped the plastic block that the prime bubble attached too as well as the fuel lines from the rebuilt carb and now it primes and runs...

I've been driving it without the front cover ( the part with the headlights built into it). It runs great as long as I do that. I haven't experimented with cooler spark plugs ir anything else yet.

this ran like a top but one day I was using it and I put it down, went to use it again and it wouldn't prime. I couldn't get it to run. I ordered a replacement carb, fuel lines, spark plug and air filter and it ran great... until it warmed up. Once it warms up it loses power. It will continue...

The plugs are newer and when i pulled them for the kast pic that i did submit they still looked new. I can take a better pic if needed. It stopped surging when I completely removed the front hood assembly. Not sure if the black painted hood was heating up and or if the engine was heat soaked...

I just cut the lawn and for haha' I removed the front body cover (it has the headlights built into it) and it ran fine. Do you think that because its holding the engine heat in that it is causing the issue? It can't help that it's painted black either. It gets hot when it's not running. I...

I will check tomorrow. I will order new plugs as well just in case.

They were so new when I installed them and then pulled them that they were still clean. I didn't notice anything other than that. I can look again tomorrow.

It runs better after I cool the crankcase. The weather has been in the mid 90's recently. I haven't been able to tell how hot the carb is getting. I will have to remove the covers and run it to check. The engine is pretty clean. I don't see and built up debris. The spark plugs came from...

I sprayed starting fluid around the carb and the idle didn't change. This only happens when the engine is fully warmed up (HOT!). Otherwise it runs great. I can run it for roughly 10 to 20 minutes before the engine starts to surge. Just before it surges, you can hear the rpm drop slightly as...

I sprayed water on it as a test to see if it would affect the surging issue, and it did. I just think that its really odd that it only surges when it is fully warmed up (hot). I attached a pic of the label that you mentioned. Thanks again for for your help!!!
