It's a little bit of both... do you know if the case has to be split apart to replace bushings?

Craftsman tiller with axle play
I have recently noticed the axle on my tiller has a good amount of play. How would you fix this problem? Or Would it be okay to use it as it is?...... this is a 5hp craftsman rear time tiller from the 90s.
