So I can do away with the alternator because I'm not using the battery. I hooked the 2 heavy black wires together & I got spark sometimes, I'm going to replace the coli & see if it makes it better thanks for the info

I removed the shroud to see where the ground wire goes. There is also another unit which I guess is the brake . The wire for that isn't connected to anything. There are 2 wires that came from the battery that go near where the kill wire is. Do I have to eliminate them to get spark ? Thanks again...

Thanks That's what I was thinking but I cut the wires & I just have 3 loose ends .

I have this mower that the starter & battery are shot. I removed the starter ,, Battery &key switch Now I'm not getting any spark. Is ther a way I can rewire it to get spark? I could get it to start before i removed all the stuff .Now it won't start . Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I tried to register at my lawn mower forumn & it wouldn't let me registar I'll try again tomorrow

I just picked up a 21" Rotary Jacobsen 2 cycle mower. It has a Tillotson carb on it. Trying to info on what the engine is & hopefully where to find some parts. Thanks

I just picked up this mower & I want to get it running & restore it back to original I been told it's a 1956 model year .It has Model MA on the front decal. Looking for info on places to find parts I might need. Engine , Carb, Ignition , Filters ETC. Thanks
