    Looking for a grass bagger

I have a partial 3-bin bagger kit ..... # 24767B in East Tennessee. **** It is missing the tractor receiver mount. The 3-bin cover is cracked (but could be plated and riveted/bolted). It's actually cracked much more than the picture shows, as the listing is old and its been stored a long...

Deck tensioner arm slop. How to tighten?

Update: The tensioner arm was indeed wallowed out. The shoulder bolt is still usable. Maybe I can get someone to weld up a washer in there or weld it up & re-drill it to fit. Thanks for your comments and knowledge.

Deck tensioner arm slop. How to tighten?

OK. Thanks, Bert. Never knew there was a bushing in there, nor a lube zerk. I'll tear it down in a few days and see what I can do to fix it. Thanks for the info.

Deck tensioner arm slop. How to tighten?

46" deck. 2004, I think. This is my 3rd Murray wide body 46" mower since buying my 1st one in '98. I really like them. I know the decks well, I've replaced numerous spindles, blades, pulleys, belts ..... but I've never dealt with this before. How do I tighten up this slop at the arm pivot...

Blowing Fuel Out Intake, No Start

I had a 17.5 opposed twin (flathead) doing the same thing ... blowing fuel out the intake/air cleaner upon attempted start-up. A compression test told me which cylinder was dead (0 compression) . I pulled the head off to find an air cleaner to carb screw was lodged in the intake valve...

Runs good as long as it doesn't shut off. Once you shut it off, the seat falls out. Lol Running on 1 cylinder:

B&S 17.5 hp opppsed twin valve seat???

I do have a friend that is a machinist .... he mentioned the oversized seat thing .... but then said .... "but at that point you usually just junk it." Damn!!! A coworker suggested using JB Weld to hold the seat in ...... If I attempt this .... as a last resort .... how can I press the...

B&S 17.5 hp opppsed twin valve seat???

Thanks guys ..... It was very loose. The block was pretty worn. I attempted the staking method but it fell back out within 3 or 4 revolutions. Looks like I'll be swapping in the other engine I have. ..... I think the engine I'm hoping to swap in has a different pulley mounting setup...

B&S 17.5 hp opppsed twin valve seat???

Thanks, slomo. I was hoping there was an easy fix that didn't require disassembly. I bought it for the good condition deck, but the rest of the mower appears to be good. It needs to be mowing!

B&S 17.5 hp opppsed twin valve seat???

So I bought this mower with a dead cylinder. I pulled the offending flathead to find the valve seat had come loose. See video ... Is there an easy procedure to fix this? What am I looking at?

Would you buy the same mower again?

One tough transaxle (hydrostatic) ..... 1998 Murray.... The attempted wheel removal for installing new tires. Unsuccessful. Wedged a landscaping timber against the mower's frame and the Jeep bumper. Fashioned a wheel puller to the wheel and attached to the 9000 lb winch cable. Thew an...
