    JD D110 Governor Questions

You were 100% correct. It was the ARC portion of the camshaft. Here are the 4 pieces that came out. The others may have escaped during the oil drain. Now to find a replacement camshaft. Any idea what PN is needed for a 33R8 ?

    Electrical issue with Exmark

A second layer of heat shrink over those closely packed spade connectors wouldn't hurt, and cost only pennies.

Exmark Jack. - Jack Mount Kit

I bought the official ExMark jack, then found out that Tractor Supply sells the same jack for half the price. https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/carry-on-trailer-top-wind-jack-1160332 Having a jack REALLY makes several maintenance jobs VERY easy.

    JD D110 Governor Questions

I've been called in to help my nephew with his broken D110 mower. (B&S ID data below.) I have confirmed by the pieces coming out of the oil drain hole that the engine governor is the problem. They cannot afford the $850 for a new engine I was quoted. Overall their mower is in decent shape...

    pioneer s series motor stopping

    • Some of the interlock safety switches MAKE a connection and others BREAK the connection when actuated. It helps to know which is which during testing. • We always look at the seat switch first because it simply gets the most number of actuations and is therefore more likely to fail. • I agree...

Grease Nipple Access on 44" Exmark ZT and larger. Any tricks ?

It is time to inject some grease into the belt tension arms on my RAE708GEM44300 zero turn. I like to do this in Spring as part of my annual maintenance. I have to get on my knees, but I can easily see and access the nipple for the BLADE belt tension arm. However, the grease nipple for the...

    Easier Exmark Engine Oil Changes

Another idea after more thinking..... If you are one of the many who have broken the plastic spigot off of the $80 plastic Fan Housing trying to get this hose off, you could drill a 7/16" vertical hole in the housing where the spigot used to be. Then you can insert the hose from the bottom as...

    Exmark vs. Joro Spiders

An invasive Asian spider called the "Joro" (Trichonephila clavata) has run unchecked in NE Georgia. It's a large garden spider, on par with other varieties. They don't bite humans, but they do make a yellow-orange web material that is 2-3 times stronger than other North American spiders. This...

    Is this a carburetor problem?

Sounds like the engine seized. Wrong oil mix, cooling air path blocked, etc.

    Easier Exmark Engine Oil Changes

I've seen people complaining that they can't get the oil drain hose to turn loose of the fan housing when they go to change the oil on a 702 / 708 engine. To tell you the truth, even with a full set of tools I sometimes have trouble. So I sawed off a 1" length of 7/16 dia steel rod and made this...

Simple question; answer, maybe not so much

On my long term personal mower, not a commercial mower that's regularly traded in... ► Once a year (time of the year is personal preference) I do this... • Change the engine oil (and filter) to rid the engine of water... not because the oil is worn out. • Sharpen (or replace) the blade • Check...
